During the initial
consultation, your child will be given a series of questions to
respond to. For example, what their favorite and least favorite subjects
are? And Why? This will determine what kind of learner they are.
Also, the parent/guardian will be asked what their expectations
are of our tutoring program.
Next, we will administer a pre test at the child’s grade level
in both Reading and Math in order to determine what their strengths
and weaknesses are in those subjects. With the parent’s permission,
we talk to the child’s homeroom teacher about his/her behavior
and academic performance in school
Lastly, we develop a learning plan for each student that is designed
to meet their specific needs using the information provided by you
and your child’s classroom teacher. Through this collaborative
effort, we form a team with one goal in mind – a successful
student. Also, you will be provided written progress reports periodically
throughout the program so that you can monitor your child’s
growth towards success.
Each child will receive a healthy snack before each session and
will receive great prizes for good attendance. |
